I was very lucky to be invited to ITV This Morning’s 1 Million Minutes Awards ceremony, where I received the Dame Barbara Windsor Loneliness Award.
It was a very special day and a very big honour to receive the award.
The tearoom is all about people, making people feel welcome and giving people somewhere to come, have a cuppa and a chat and not feel alone.
I never really thought when I started the tearoom that it would become what it has become today, and to be recognised for helping people with loneliness means a lot to me.
A great big thank you to everyone who has supported the tearoom and helped make it what it is today.
